My name is Moniyat Chowdhury and I'm an UX designer based in Seattle, Washington.

When I'm not behind my laptop working on my latest UX project, you may find me out with a camera in hand as I am also a photographer!

📱So how did I get started in UX?

When I was 8 years old, I made the crucial decision out of pure boredom and curiosity to create a Neopets account. From there, I was introduced to the world of HTML since Neopets offered the choice to customize your profile. I would spend hours customizing my profile to my liking. All in all, Neopets is what ignited my interest in web development and UX design.

Education

I graduated with a BS in Informatics from the University of Washington's iSchool program with a double degree in both data science & human computer interaction back in Spring 2022!

Now, I'm currently pursuing a MS in Information Management from the iSchool, with a dual specialization in program/product management and consulting & user experience.

✨ My hobbies

Dance: I've started dancing about 3-4 years ago. I’ve always been a fan of dancing so I decided to join my university’s salsa club. You might find me at local socials!
Aerial Arts: my latest hobby! I've been doing lyra for couple of months now and I've recently started aerial silks. If I wasn't a UX designer, I would definitely be a circus aerialist performer!
Hiking: I love being outdoors and hiking can be so serene and peaceful. And the good thing about Seattle is all the nearby hiking spots- I'm always down for a hike!
